How to play
Drag a shape from the tray onto empty squares, or select it and tap its destination. A completely filled row or column clears from the board. Consider all three available shapes before placing the first: the next piece still needs somewhere to fit. The run ends when none of the remaining shapes can be placed.
A useful starting tip
Leave room for wide shapes and look for placements that complete a row and a column together. Small isolated gaps are difficult to reuse.
Plan room for the whole hand
Prism Blocks gives you ready-made shapes to place on an 8×8 board. Each placement consumes space, while a completed row or column opens it again. The central task is connecting those effects: one piece may prepare a clear for another or occupy its only suitable landing area. Consider the sequence before committing its first step.
The shape of a gap matters. Separate holes do not replace a broad connected region, and a narrow corridor suits only certain pieces. A board that looks roomy can still be awkward for the exact shapes left in the current selection.
Check the order before placing
Find room for the most constrained shape, then inspect the others. A small block can be a useful first move when it completes a line and creates space; without that clear, it may only obstruct. Mentally follow placements and removals, then compare the actual board with the plan after each action. Use dragging or select a piece and tap its destination.
Place for the next two pieces
Before dropping the first shape, reserve a plausible place for the awkward one in the same hand. A clean row is valuable when it opens that place, not just because it clears cells. After a clear, take another look: the board is different enough that the old order may no longer be best.

Why did the game end with empty cells left?
None of the remaining shapes fits. The shape of empty space matters as much as its size; narrow gaps can be unusable.
Can I place a piece without dragging?
Yes. Select it and tap its destination. Every part of the shape must fit on empty cells of the 8×8 board.
Can one move clear a row and a column?
Yes, if the placement completely fills both. Before placing, check where the remaining shapes can go after those lines disappear.
Why should I avoid placing the smallest piece immediately?
It might occupy the only space for a larger piece. Inspect all three shapes and choose an order that leaves a legal continuation.
Why do boards with equal empty-cell counts play differently?
A piece occupies a particular shape rather than an arbitrary collection of cells. One large connected area may accept several options, while the same area split into isolated holes accepts none. Compare width, length and connections between free regions before placement. Evaluate them against the three current pieces: space is useful according to the shapes you actually need to place now.
When should a small piece go first?
When it completes a row or column and the cleared cells create room for the remaining pieces. Mentally perform both the placement and removal, then check the exact resulting shape. Without that clear, the small piece might consume the larger one's only space. Compare the whole sequence instead of following an unchanging size order: the same small block can either obstruct or enable a continuation.
How can I review the moment when nothing fits?
Find an earlier placement that divided a broad area into narrow pockets. Could that piece have gone elsewhere while preserving a landing area for the next one? In a new attempt, mentally assign places to the whole hand before starting and revise after a clear. This connects the loss to a specific choice instead of merely feeling that enough empty cells remained.
